Policies

Sessions are scheduled a month in advance. If you need to cancel your child's session, you must do so 24 hours prior or you will incur the regular hourly session fee. In case of a sudden illness or an emergency, please try to notify us before your child's scheduled hour. Make-up sessions are to be scheduled within 30 days of the excused absence. If a make-up is not held within 30 days, then that session will be lost. It may not be deducted from tuition or added on to a block of sessions. Please call during non-instructional hours to schedule these sessions. You may terminate your child's program at any time. However, a two-week notice is required. This gives us time to assess any completed skills for a final summary of progress.

Flexibility

Scheduled sessions can be changed with 24 hours prior notice without incurring a fee. Make-up sessions are offered within 30 days of the cancellation. Excused absences are also made for emergencies that occur the day of a scheduled appointment.

Student Behavior

We strive to ensure that all students have a pleasant and productive learning experience at CLC by instituting a few proactive policies. We expect all of our students to make a good effort and participate fully. They should respect themselves, other students, and our teaching staff. We ask that students respect our center and our property as well as behave and dress appropriately. We cannot be responsible for any personal items left behind. All food, beverages, and cell phones are not allowed into the center. (Students will be allowed to have food on Pizza Day, Popcorn Day, and Treat Day). All meals must be eaten before coming into the center for instruction. We provide drinking water.

Picking Up and Dropping Off

Please be punctual with respect to attendance. If you will be late (or early), please call us. The client assumes all risks and holds harmless California Learning Center staff and owner should the child leave the waiting room. California Learning Center does not provide childcare before or after the scheduled session time.

Fees

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks and cash. The client agrees, in consideration for all services received by their child at California Learning Center, that the client is obligated and promises to pay California Learning Center customary charges for such services. Tuition is due on the first day of the month for the current month's planned sessions. The client may elect to have California Learning Center automatically charge a credit card for the monthly balance, or a block of 24 or 48 sessions can be pre-paid at a reduced rate. Automatic monthly deductions are charged on the 20th of the month prior. All bills are payable in full upon receipt and are considered late if not paid by the 1st of each month. A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed on accounts not paid in full by the 5th of the month. Accounts 60 days past due are delinquent and all services will be suspended until payment is received. If the account is referred to a collection agency or an attorney, the client agrees to pay reasonable attorney's fees, collections fees, and collection expenses.

You may terminate your child's program at any time. However, a two-week notice is required. This gives us time to assess any completed skills for a final summary of progress. It also gives the student a sense of closure and a chance to spend any remaining tokens. A refund will be issued for tuition paid but not used. The diagnostic testing fee and other assessed fees are not refundable. Refunds will be processed in 8 - 10 weeks with a $50.00 processing fee. A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
